St. Angela Merici C.Y.O. (Catholic Youth Organization) is open to all high school teens in grades 8-12. We meet generally on the second Sunday of the month from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in the Msgr. Kern Center. In May and December we meet on the first Sunday. We pray, play, and eat together! Our annual membership drive and barbecue is held at the beginning of the summer, but new members can join at any time during the year. We are famous for our giant water balloon bash at the end of the barbecue!
We participate annually in World Youth Day in late October and Abbey Youth Fest each spring. We hold a retreat annually on the first weekend of January at Camp Abbey in Covington. We are blessed with many past members who return to serve on our retreat team.
We participate in the archdiocesan C.Y.O. Athletic League with our Coed Summer Cabbage Ball and Coed Volleyball in the fall and the spring. Among our favorite outings and activities are trips to Leo’s Iceland, The Haunted Corn Maze, Laser Tag Afterhours, and our Breakfast for Dinner meeting.
We also strive to serve our parish and our community in building Christ's kingdom through various service projects. Twice annually we conduct a drive to prepare care packages for service members deployed overseas. To join or serve as an adult volunteer, please contact Diane Kratochvil at 835-0324 or [email protected].
Want to join?
Please complete the first four forms on the left of the page carefully, especially the medical release form, and return to the parish office.
