There is no lay organization in the Catholic Church better suited to promote and enhance family life, support vocations to the priesthood and religious life, to show solidarity with our bishops and priests, and to advance the new evangelization than the Knights of Columbus. Bishop Caillouet Council Number 9007 is an integral part of St. Angela Parish. Our council is one of 12,000 Knights of Columbus councils that lead the way by helping to integrate more completely the life of the family and the laity within the life of the parish.
 
The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic, family, fraternal and service organization. The future of the Church and the future of the Knights of Columbus are inseparably linked. If the Church is going to thrive in today’s society, far more action of an ecumenical nature is needed. The prime responsibility of the Knights of Columbus is to encourage and promote that action.
 
The St. Angela Merici Monsignor Kern Center is home to Bishop Caillouet Council Number 9007. Monthly meetings are held on the third Thursday. The meetings include a meal at 7:00 PM, followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:30. The Knights of Columbus fraternal meeting immediately follows the Rosary. The council schedules various fundraising dinners throughout the year: a spaghetti dinner in August, a Mandarin Chicken dinner in October, and a Pig Skin in January. They also celebrate quarterly Knight Masses. 
 
Men who join the Knights do so for many reasons. Through membership, Council 9007 can help our pastor and our parish in real and concrete ways. There are many Catholic men in St. Angela Merici Parish who are out there waiting to join the Knights of Columbus, if only they were asked. This is your invitation.
